You're only asking because you know you'd win!!
Can I please put an entry into the category of the smallest cucumber plant skillfully planted behind tomatoes now not growing due to lack of light? haha
There'll be a special corner of the Harvest table for failures, Sarriss. Smile
haha thank you for letting me take part lol
The news you've all been waiting for - the Harvest Festival Committee have reached agreement on the items they will need to make the Festival a success. Cool

Best container of veg - growing or harvested
Best container of fruit - growing or harvested
Best container of flowers - growing or harvested
Tallest sunflower
Funniest veg or fruit
Most amusing Trombone squash
Best failure
Homegrown Ingredients for a meal - before and after preparation.
Something from the kitchen - jam/pickle/homebrew
A Repurposed item in the garden

We'll be creating an area where you can post photos of the items you'll be contributing - just one of each item please - as the display tables aren't very big. Wink
This is going to be fun. Smile
If all those categories aren’t exciting enough for you. There will also be a trophy up for grabs.

Bring it on Big Grin - I have a very strong contender for tall sunflower - I haven't stuck a stick and tied it in yet so I had better go and do that before she snaps Big Grin

Only this evening, before reading this post,  I was looking at Bob's wonderful creations on FB, the two of you are a talented pair.  I was itching to smooth my hands over some of the wooden things. My dad used to turn wood, but no where near as skillfully. Thanks for the trophy donation Bob, its beautiful.
Take your photos, JJB and enter them in the Harvest festival and you may be the lucky winner who gets to smooth your hands over Bob's wonderful trophy. Smile
Ooooh, thats an incentive. Photos are already being planned. I have a tromba that I'm debating whether to pick and eat or leave to get bigger. Next door's sunflower is exceeding 6ft I think. All depends on whether the judges are looking for qty, quality, design or inventiveness.
