I've grown Brussels for nine years and only had one decent harvest, but perhaps this will be the year? At least the tops never 'blow'!

Florence fennel is always sad - we might get enough small heads for one risotto, but we also get swallowtail butterfly caterpillars on them, so they are worth the work & the culinary disappointment.

After buying or being given three rhubarb plants I have to accept my baking clay is never going to be their liking. But if somebody gave me a plant I'd try again!!

Is there anything you stubbornly refuse to give up on?
After trying to grow Aubergines many times, and vowing I'd never bother again,, a packet of mixed Aubs arrived - and I couldn't resist having another go.
I may have some success this year - who knows?

As we say in Wales, never say Dai. Smile
Lettuce is usually my failure. A) we don't eat a huge amount of it and B) it usually goes to seed, wilts or gets eaten by slugs. BUT this year I have a bumper crop. Who knows why.
I budget for half my lettuces being slug food or bolting - in the latter case I look at it as just growing compost.
But we are another household of the Trusty Side Salad Smile
I gave up with Aubergines I’ve finally realised I only end up with pretty purple flowers and no fruits. Not given up on carrots I tried for years not getting anything until I started to grow them in buckets. one happy me Smile
Cauliflower!
No idea why I still keep trying. Only one of us in this house likes it and it’s not me  Rolleyes .
CARROTS!!!!!!
Broccoli Raab always a disappointment
Melons... we had our first successful fruiting one last year... had a grand total of 3 mini melons about the size of an apple from them...
I have never....dont laugh.....been able to grow a decent raddish
