I didn't know it either until a couple of days ago when I read it on an FB Forager's group. Plenty of catkins in the garden now. Maybe I'll try a few.

BTW, had to laugh as the advert at the start of the video if for Katkin Cat Food.

Saw that video a couple of weeks ago, tried them, wouldn't bother again.

I ate a catkin today - it was like chewing cardboard - tasteless.
