I had the satisfaction of seeing shooting star last night, purely by accident.
Kato started howling about 1.30 this morning so I assumed he wantd to go out for a wee. I put the lead on him and took him in the garden. It was a lovely clear evening when I saw the shooting stars.
I had read about the Perseid shower but was enthralled when I spotted it. I didn't realise it happened at this time of year every year.
Unfortunately as ever it was hissing down and I missed them again.

Did Kato want a wee or to see the stars? I need to know.
I was fast asleep at 1.30, but, like SC, it was raining when I toddled off to bed about 12.
Too much cloud cover here in Glos.
Glad that you and Kato got to see them though, Vinny.

Not sure?
Maybe he saw the shooting stars looking out of the French doors where he sleeps sometimes? He wasn't desperate for a wee, so maybe it was a wanabe burglar that got him agitated? I spent an hour on the couch to settle him down and he came and lay beside me (which ISN'T like him) until I got a crick in the neck, then I left him sleeping, tip toed out of living room and went to bed before dawn.It was a really clear 'frosty' night, without the frost, if you know what I mean!
I've been outside looking for the past 2 nights not spotted any yet though.
