What ya growing this year then?

New for me this year:
CFB
Lingua di Fuoco 2
Helda which I think I might have grown but didn't have seed, so it's a  new pkt

DFB
Nautica
Mistik
Jacob's cattle gold for drying from seed swap but unamed, thank you anyway

then the old favourites
CFB
Fasold because it's early
Hunter
Lidl's
Meuch for dried
Tresnjevac ditto

DFB
Ferrari or Safari
Opera
Yin yang because they're pretty

There may be more....
I think I was the Jacob's Cattle Gold origin, JJB. Don't tell me I was so excited about not sending in totally rubbish envelopes that I didn't label properly... Well, there's always next year!

I haven't even let myself look at my bean varieties yet. Maybe I could stop being lazy and actually cook some of my dried beans to be sure I like them and want to grow them again. And to be sure I can cook them from dried because I've never done it before!

Sorry, I digress. I'll be back with an actual list soon. What with you and Veggie getting me all excited about sowing beans.
I’m only growing Blauhilde beans they’re CFB that have purple pods that turn green when cooked.
I’ve still not decided yet.
Definitely a dwarf french bean . Not chosen variety yet.
Still on the fence about runners
At the moment its:-

Broad Beans - Crimson Flowered

DFB - Random mix

CFB - Cosse Violette & District Nurse

There'll be more.
This year I'm growing:
Runner bean "Armstrong" (Premier Seeds Direct)
Dwarf French "Aquilon" (saved seed, originally Real Seeds)
Climbing French "Cobra" (Moreveg)

That's plenty considering we don't like beans all that much Smile
Climbing: Hunter, Cobra, Sunshine

Dwarf: Capitano, Nassau
This year I have -
Dwarf Efequince, Rocquencourt & Maxidor for fresh and freezing, and Dalmatin for drying.
Climbing just Cosse Violette both home saved and some old bought seeds, and Yard Long.
I'm also growing soya having grown it 2 years ago and then frozen the pods without trying them, I found them recently and liked them a lot!!
Broad Beans - Witkiem Manita

DFB - Dior

CFB - Coco blanc a rames

Runners - Scarlet Emperor / Enorma
I have absolutely loads of beans in my seed box, but not even thought about sowing them yet. Flowers and other veg come first. Beans and most of my squashes will be later.
