I’d pick the flowers off let the plant grow a bit more,
Will do SC. I'm assuming the same applies to sweet peppers, so will do them too. Such a shame, I was so proud of those little flowers.
If the sweet peppers are the same size, then yes I’d take the flowers off. The best way to look at it is. Is the plant big enough to hold a full grown fruit?
My very first chilli plant has flower buds, so I came here to see if I should remove them as the plant is only 6" tall. I see the consensus is yes, take them off. OK. On your heads be it, I bow to all your knowledge.
It's horrible doing it though Sad. I've hedged my bets a bit as I've got more plants than I want. Pinched flowers off some plants and left others, to see the difference.

How exciting, baby chillies Cool  .That is an incredibly healthy looking plant.

Look everyone, especially SC, I have my first ever red chilli! Smile  it's small and hiding it's glory in the depths, but it's there and it's red.
