Hemlock has purple blotches on the stem which is round. Cow parsley has a ridged stem and is shaped like celery with a groove down the underside. It can have purple stems but they're like a colour wash, not spotted.

Other than scaring me that video hasn’t helped me identify it.
Fortunately I wasn’t going to eat it - or put it my other half’s sandwiches!
I read somewhere that Cow parsley smells of aniseed while Hemlock smells unpleasant. I rubbed a bit of Cow Parsley and, whilst not smelling of aniseed it didn't smell unpleasant. Not tempted to eat it though!

I have lots of those pots ....I always get some plants in the Autumn from West Kington
and spend the next few months wondering what I bought!!
