Funnily, my first thought was a kitchen dresser on wheels! Rolleyes

I do like admins traditional look though. Big Grin
I’ve decided to give my little sales barrow a much needed TLC.

It’s last make over had it looking like this, in 2016

[attachment=5452]

The last 2 years have been really hard for the poor little thing because instead of being sheltered in winters and covered in his tarp he’s been used as a base for a hardening off bench .

[attachment=5453]

After pulling him out from under the bench he got stripped of the bits I’d added and flipped over just to make sure he was salvageable ( he is  Cool ). We found a message written on the underside. It says anti wood worm 03.77 !

Today I stripped it completely and started attacking it with wire brush. I noticed 2 tags that were painted over. So I very careful peeled the paint off them . Love stuff like this. Need to do more research to find out what it looked like originally. But the company is still going.

Photos of tags in next post . Or I’ll get messages pop up telling me I’ve added to many!
The very cool tags.

Love it! Cool We used to have one where I worked. For some reason we called it a 'Green Arrow'......I know not why? Huh
Green Arrow = Barrow

Yep,thought of that Cockney rhyming slang when my mind was wandering walking Kato this morning! Big Grin
Now treated with rust stuff. It turns a very nice blue on contact with the rust.

Now my attention is on what colour scheme to go with? Do I go with a one colour for the metal work and a paler version for the wood. Or do I go contrasting colours ? What colours would you go with?
I would do it all one colour, then hand paint different flowers and veg on it.

Of course I would have to learn to paint first Wink
If the finished barrow looks like the original barrow you won't see much metal work. #12
I like the red paintwork but a paler shade would be pink! It might look like a pram then. Big Grin
If you're going to paint flowers on the woodwork (and I think you should) the background needs to be something to show show them up so not green..............Basically, I'd paint it with whatever paint you have to hand. Big Grin
