A lot of the thug blackberry fruit have white drupelet syndrome. I only know this because I've googled it, until 10 minutes ago if someone had asked me what a drupelet was, I would have accused them of being naughty  Big Grin.  It seems that the hot afternoon sun has caused the fruit to be stressed and caused them to have albino patches.  Another victim of the weather.  Anyone else got it?
On my raspberries, but it hasn't put the blackbirds off! The blackberries are fine, despite fruiting in the middle of the heatwave.
Never heard of it! I haven't been blackberry picking.... I am not good in heat so I've been hiding away making jewellery...hoping I haven't missed them all.

Too early for the blackberries around the hdgerows here! Sick I keep looking when I am walking Kato but only manage to forage what I call 'King fruits' which are usually the earliet and biggest on the bush. Maybe another couple of weeks before I get out with my tupperware! Big Grin
I've been picking blackberries today and there's nothing wrong with my drupelets. Big Grin
Just noticed this when I was picking some Joan J raspberries today. Been picking for over a week and not seen it before, seems to have been the most recent hot spell that caused it.

Your drupelts might be nearer the ground, you being of reduced stature , Tongue which for once could be beneficial
