This surprising item in the random sowing bed has me flummoxed. I know it but can't put a name to it. For some reason, balsam keeps running round in my head.
Can anyone put me out of my misery please Big Grin
No idea, I thought it could be a balsam, but googling it proves not.

After some more research. It comes in lots of different colours.

Looks like Himalayan Balsam to me…loads around a nearby river here.
Fortunately, its not Himalayan Balsam, Jay. that's awful stuff.

That's it  Heart
I've been watching the leaves and stems growing , they're both pink tinged, and thought it might be some sort of Orach or Amaranth - something that I had seeds of but never grown. I was amazed to see flowers on it. Really pretty and different. Big Grin
Today, I spotted a white flower and a pale pink one. The paler the flower, the less red the stems & leaves. Bees like them too.
These flowers are absolutely beautiful. If it wasn't raining I'd take a photo and show you. Supposed to make good cut flowers too/
Will try to save seeds to share.

Still flowering - they really are bright and cheerful. If you look closely, there's a bumble bee in the second photo - honest.
They are pretty and you’ve got lots of different shades.
You sure you didn’t scatter some of you random seeds that included them?  Big Grin  Cool .
