Broad - Claudia, Sutton, Grano Violetto, Masterpiece
French - Dwarf - Slenderette, Roquencourt. Climbing - Yard Long, Cosse Violette
Pea Bean - or is this a pea?!
Edamame (Soya)
Mrs Connell's Black Runner

DFB
Vermont Cranberry
Tendergreen

CFB
Tiger

Some others trying to germinate still (badly mistreated Blue Lake, Polish). Kew Blue didn't make it.

I swear, it seemed like more than this...Given my spotty luck with old seed, this might be primarily a seed-saving year for beans.
The only bean I know the name of is CFB soisson, a CFB, for dried beans.
I grow a dwarf one for green beans and another for dried beans.
I also grow broad beans.
The green bean and broad bean were probably bought 10 to 20 years ago and the other dwarf was from a french supermarket about 7 years ago.

I bought the soissons beans last year but the germination this year from home saved seed was far better.

CFB Hunter & DFB Primel

These have done exceptionally well this year. I planted 2 rows of 6 canes with Hunter CFB on one side and DFB Primel on the other, so that the CFB's overhung the DFBs. = approx 12-14 plants of each.
I've picked so many that I've reach satiation point - just can't eat them fast enough and I hate frozen beans - so I'm leaving them to dry for saving and cooking.

Had to trim off some of the leaves today as the wind was pushing the canes over and I was amazed at how many beans were lurking under the leaves.

Its a nice bean to eat as well, no strings attached. Smile

The dogs like them too - they pick their own. Smile

Hunter CFBs drying in the sun - such a beautiful sight. Smile

You can see all the little darlings inside their pods.

Buckles Black bean
Apparently this is a local to Cardiff variety that has been grown here for many years - according to the lady who gave the seeds to me.  I only managed to germinate 2 - one turned out to be the black one, the other is a standard green one with red flowers. In theory, the black one will have black seeds inside the pods, the green one will have normal green beans. I'll save the black ones to grow on next year.
The stems on the black one are reddish and the flowers were darker than the green one.

No idea what they taste like as I'm concentrating on saving seeds. Cool

So much for that theory  - both green and purple podded beans had identical black beans inside.!!

Nice beans Smile
Shall I send you a couple to try?
I liked the taste  of   Blauhilde CfB but was disappointed that they  lose their purple colour once they’re cooked.
