Borage - I hate its prickly leaves, the prickles get into my skin like thorns. And it seeds itself everywhere.
Lemon balm, equally as bad at self-seeding, and harder to dig out once its got its feet down.
One more - then we can vote. Big Grin
I've gone for Author's perks and my "never again" plants are Conifers - all shapes, sizes and colours. Horrible boring things that don't recognise the difference between summer and winter. Permanently blocking out the sun and starving anything growing nearby.
The Poll is OPEN - I hope. Big Grin
Vote for all those you'll never grow again and we'll see which plants are on the No Grow list. Big Grin
I do, have or would try any of those on the list Wink so no vote from me!
Pak choi just bolts - seedling leaves, flower stalk, bam, dead, but giant vegetables of any sort probably top my list.
I'll be starting another Poll when we have some more Dislikes, PP.
I could only put 15 options in the Poll. I want to end up with the 15 most-disliked plants. Big Grin
All the plants on the list have their place, although I haven't got the right place for quite a few of them. So no vote from me. I might move again!
Grape hyacinths are my nemesis. I just can't get rid, and people buy them! Another one that tried to take over was Snow in Summer, I don't know its proper name.
I've given up trying to get rid of grape hyacinths, JJB. What I do now is when they finish flowering, and before they set seed, I grab the leaves in a bunch and give a hard yank. That pulls out quite a few of the bulbs, so it thins them out. The flowers are actually quite pretty and scented, but they do get everywhere. I can't believe people buy them either! Only the once, I'm thinking. Wink

I haven't voted for blackberries, because while I wouldn't need them here (plenty of wild ones), if I ever found myself living where they don't grow wild, I would definitely have to grow some.
Any more nominations for Never grow again plants for List 2.
So far, Pak choi, Giant vegetables & Grape hyacinths.
