Afternoon folks

Do people succession sow or bung them all in at once?

If it helps the variety is early nantes 2.

TIA
Succession sow.
Ok my thought process was/is I'll sow half the upside down planter tomorrow then the other half in say a month or 2? I've only ever thrown a few carrots in a pot before so this is a new approach for me. I'm assuming they are ok to be left in the ground and picked as and when required like parsnips?
Succession sowing for me too except Nantes, which I prefer to pull in the Autumn. I like Chantenay carrots for summer
In theory I succession sow Chantenay carrots, but usually that's too far and few between. They're so lovely, so once I get a taste for them, I pull them whatever size lol

I have never had much luck with the bigger carrots, but I will give it a go. I don't intend to succession sow them.
I tend to succession sow Nantes in 3 different raised beds it means I have carrots all year round growing them in the tunnel I don’t let them get to big. I like them thin, so does my granddaughter she always goes looking for carrots raw when she visits.
Thanks for your responses folks.

I do have some Chantenay as well so have decided to use 1/2 the bed of Nantes and 1/2 Chantenay.

Will succession sow the Chantenay.
My carrots failed to show. I sow in damp rows about 1cm deep and keep the rows damp. I can't figure what I'm doing wrong. Any tips?

My bed failed so I ended up sowing again in 30ltr pots, all showing but took a long while!
Carrot seeds are said to have a short life - like parsnips. Did you sow seeds that were more than a year old?
