I thought you had to lift gladioli in the autumn and replant in Spring...?

Most of them are indeed planted in Spring but Gladiolus Byzantinus is an Autumn planting variety that hopefully will naturalise in my long border!
Flowers are not my forte... but...

I’m sure you’ll love it Scarlet. I grew a smasher last year called ”Strawberry Fields”. Not only a lovely flower, but it made me sing every time I saw it . “Let me take you down......” What’s more the two that took ages to germinate so that I didn’t get round to planting them out are still just about struggling along in a cold unheated greenhouse.
