What do you think might be chomping off the heads of my gazanias?
This is the second one I have found eaten off like this. I don’t think it's four legged as it isn't bitten off but nibbled from the side of the stem and I don't see any slug trails, coul it be woodlice?

I think I’d go with 4 legged. But that’s only my guess
Just found a third all have been cut off about 8" above ground, so I'm thinking unlikely mice.
Could be slugs/snails. Any other damage near by?

No slug trails and leaved are untouched It's strange that only the flower stems are chewed about 2" from the bud and only chewed from one side, not the whole stem cut straight across and the buds are left lying on the ground or toppling over excuse of a weak stem. I've brought the buds indoors in some water, one has been opening and closing with the sun for several days.
I found the greedy gazania gobbles. Snails! You were right Mark.
