Scarlet Tiger Moth resting on the shed. Don't remember seeing one before. Smile

That’s beautiful. I’ve never seen one.
Splendid. Never seen one either.
The moth was still on the shed this evening. It had moved around a bit but same area.
Wonder if it'll be there tomorrow?

Good night Scarlet Tiger Moth, sleep tight. Smile
Never seen one of them before, most moths we see here are just plain old brown ones
That's really pretty Smile I'm another who's never seen one.

.........and by morning he was gone!!

Saw a White Plume Moth today - quite different!! https://www.ukmoths.org.uk/species/ptero...tadactyla/
They are lovely delicate little things. I like them .
I thought it was a couple of feathers drifting down, until it landed on a daisy and sat there waiting for me to admire it.
I have seen them before so not a total surprise Smile
Apparently the caterpillars feed on bindweed. This could be a good reason for not pulling it up..............or maybe not!!
The Scarlet Tiger Moth has returned and is sitting on a montbretia leaf. Shame really as I wanted to pull them up but don't want to disturb him.
No photo but it looks just the same as the one I saw last year in #1.
