What varieties of courgette are parthenocarpic?  I've found Partenon F1, and Sure Thing.  Do you know of any others?

I'm thinking of starting off an early courgette next season (or this).

How can you sow a seed from something that doesnt produce them?

I grow Partenon in the GH as its self-fertile - its the one I sown early in the year for a head start on the outdoor ones.

This year I sowed them January 23 in propagator, planted them in Flower buckets in GH March 6.

BTW "Sure Thing" is also F1 but T&M don't tell you that in their blurb. No surprises there!
Dobies do.

Not going to attempt to beat your efforts for early courgettes, but thought I might try to improve early and late season productivity.  BTW am really considering trying early DFBs in GH, space allowing - you are a bad/good  influence I'm not sure.

OK, are you sitting comfortably?
Once upon a time there was a little courgette who was very lonely. She kept having babies but none of them grew up and had children of their own.
Sadly, the little courgette went to see the doctor and asked for his help . Don't worry, said the doctor, we'll find you a partner and between you you can create little children who will grow and give birth to more children who will look like you. The bad news is, they will also be infertile but, the doctors in the hospital will make sure that your family survives, even if each generation depends on medical intervention.

...........and so it was, all of the little courgettes children were known by their surname "F1" and they found that they had many cousins, all with the same surname. One day, the "F1"s may take over the world and that would be a sad day for us all.
THE END
