Project Honeypot searches forums looking for multiple users from the same IP address and one of the patterns it uses is similar usernames or email addresses. If you have joined GandG more than once it is important that you let us know so we can delete the additional accounts.

If project Honeypot flags you as a generator of spam it will have consequenes on any forum you belong to not just this one. We will be notified before any action is taken but only up to the 11 July.

Please help us help you

If you use the same username on multiple forums that is fine

Surely email addresses should not be able to be accessed by other than the owner of the website? Which is yourself?

G&G has had a small number of spammers registering on this site already, and the forum has only been live for a few weeks!

The Mods check every new member against a site like CleanTalk https://cleantalk.org/blacklists/spam-ip by IP and by email address if there is some doubt about them.
AFAIK this is standard practice on all fora although it is automated on many.

We've put this warning up to deter anyone from opening a second account on this, or any other forum. It may be done in all innocence but its not a good idea in case you end up on one of these spam lists.

I'm mainly me wherever I am, sometimes I catch a glimpse of me from behind in a window and then I'm sure I'm not me but, some imposter. Never trust glass, mirrors, or still water they all lie, especially when they think you are not looking.
