It looks like a warty cucumber, and doesn't sound very appetising. I don't mind bitter flavours but you've got to be careful you don't over sour the dish. Would have to like it before growing it.

I grew cucamelons, one year and they weren't the best. They pickled quite well as gherkins though.

Yes they are bitter melon, or bitter apple... going by a few names.

Lots of the stuff they sell on that site is available here too, just cheaper! And it was the looking for Wanda that lead me to the site, and of course then I had to have a look around Tongue
If they are outgrowing their pots, Stem, yes! Though I found cucamelons to be quite delicate plants with not a very big root system.

Personally Stem20 I wouldn’t bother but, gardening is all about personal preference. These don’t take a lot of space will climb just about anything so pot on and try a few. If you don’t like them, dig them up.
