Working with Bob

Today and the rest of the week I’ll be working with Bob. Helping with the strimmer work on all his gardening jobs. Because he’s an old cripple at the moment, with a buggered knee. The twisting motion of strimming isn’t doing him a lot of good. So in desperation he asked me to help.

This is the view from the first garden

View from the second garden. I am actually stood on the lawn to take these photos.

Garden 3. This one was great. Not much strimming, did some apple scrumping ( the most stunning looking apple tree I’ve ever seen. Beautiful bright red apples. Love flavour, absolutely disgusting floury texture   Rolleyes , they’ll make a great crumble ), collected some alstroemeria seeds & took a rose cutting. I’ll be asking about that on the rose thread very soon.

Absolutely stunning vista's. Cool No need for a fence when you have an ocean/sea as a boundary! Smile

View from today’s gardens all very similar as they’re all along the same road looking over the same loch.
Garden 1  no view.
Garden 2       Garden 3

Garden 4      Garden 5

Garden 6      Garden 7 no view to speak of.

Gardens 3,5 & 6 all had lovely established gardens. I managed to get a couple more cuttings & seeds fro a couple of them. The beauty of them being holiday homes  Big Grin

RE: Knee pain.

This guy rehabilitates a lot of professional athletes with knee injuries. He has a really good article about how to reduce knee pain that could be helpful for Bob - https://robertsontrainingsystems.com/blo...oof-knees/

Mrs Can used suffer terribly with knee pain on both knees, she had steroid injections, cartilage scraping etc. nothing worked. Then she started taking turmeric and black pepper capsules, 3 a day 2 in the morning and 1 at night. No pain at all now. Might be worth a try.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

Almost a half day today.
The view from todays 4 gardens

On a clear day (not today) you can see across to Ben Nevis from garden 4 .

Day off tomorrow as Bob is waiting for new belts that broke on his big mower yesterday. He wasn’t happy. Only replaced then a fortnight ago.

Working with Bob again today. Only got 2 done before we got rained off. These are the 2 Bob did last time by himself, then realised strimming hurt. So I’d not done these before.

The view

If the rain ever allows, will be starting them all over again from the top.
