Guess how much?

Today I picked up a bag of assorted junk - it was much bigger and heavier than I expected.
In amongst the odds and ends was a tub of money - bank notes and coins. The Notes were Indian Rupees but I could see some UK coins in amongst the rest..
I messaged the donor and asked him if he had intended to put the money in the bag.
His reply :-
Yeah, they're all foreign and I didn't have the time/energy to sort them. Hopefully they're worth something.

1. How much do you think the UK coins were worth?

2. How many different currencies were there

3. Can you guess what they are? Big Grin

Probably worthless as the coins will all have Ben replaced over the years so face value will be nil, highly unlikely that there are any valuables in there.

Wrong on the value
Very close on the currencies. You've named all except one and 3 are wrong.

You're all wrong so far. Big Grin
I'll tell you which currencies are correct - Sterling, US Dollar, Euro, Rupee, Rand and one other that nobody has guessed. It has animals on the coins.
