I’d agree to red veg being less attractive to pests. By no means immune, unfortunately. And the darker the better. PSB as lovely as it is. Does have a welcome sign hanging off him because most of the plant is still green
I highly recommend red cabbage drumhead. Scarlet kale.
I’ve also grown Red sprouts, red kalettes, red onions ( but they like to bolt, given half the chance ).
Red skinned spuds is a whole different ball game. I think it depends what day of the week it is, as to whether it’s liked or disliked by pests. Never have work out which variety they don’t like as much. Proper purple spuds don’t get munched very much at all.
And obviously there’s lot of variety of red / purple podded beans & peas . Which you know more about than me
