New planters

This is some heavy (about 80kg each , apparently) duty recycling.

That’s a fairly big boot for comparison. I was going to stack 3 or 4 of them to make a planter.

If anyone has any other ideas, just shout! Only found out I was getting some of them half hour ago  Big Grin

You wouldn't want one of them to fall on your foot!! Are they some sort of anchor chain??
I see them as edging to a path, like silver bells and cockle shells, either flat with a a rockery type plant in each hole or on edge. Depends how many you acquire.

I believe they are some very large chain links. Like the edging idea. Don’t know how many I’m getting. I know some are going towards moorings.

You could use them as edging turn them on their sides burying half, they do look heavy though.

I take it when you say they are chain links they are all separate, and if so to make planters with them I would advise pegging, tying or welding them to avoid any chance of them falling on someone's foot. I think they would look great set in concrete at an angle as edging, then planted with some sedums and the likes

Not getting the chain links now  Sad . Apparently the scrap man is willing to pay good money for them. Never mind I’m sure I’ll find something else unique to reuse / re purpose in my garden.

Never mind, you might have:-
1. Dropped one on your foot
2. Tripped over them
3. Found that iron was bad for your soil
4. Spent ages putting them in place, then changed your mind...........

Nice one. Cool I think the monochrome piccie suits it. Smile

I think we have one of those in the back of a cupboard somewhere?
