I couldn't hear any singing - I thought you were playing a xylophone.

I'll name that tune in one. Thanks Bob. How long after that did it split? Damned hard graft.

The video was edited. The original was 2 minutes long. It split not long after the 2 minutes.

You'll have to up your game a bit to rival dear old Patrick Moore. Thanks TMTT. Big Grin

Finally managed to scribble a rough sketch of the cottage garden. I’m pleased to say it’s not much different to my original vision back in April 2021.

The beds with measurements are already in place as is the big rock. All other beds can still change size , shape and position. And they probably will as the scribble isn’t to scale in anyway.

The original (I put a lot more effort in to scribbling this one)

And now

This latest scribble is more for Bob’s benefit. Even though he’s seen the original and it’s been discussed many times. He still can’t retain No ****ing GRASS in the cottage garden. He’s driving me mad  Angry Angry Angry

Your plan reminds me of my 30 bed garden - or whatever it started as. I used tracing/greaseproof over the original each time I replanned it.
What will you use for the paths? I'm not going to mention the G word. Big Grin

Hopefully gravel. I'd settle for wood chip.

Rhubarb moving day. It went considerably more smoothly than expected.  We had our friend to help because we thought it was going to be very hard work. We did definitely need him because it was a little on the heavy side. We didn’t even need to dig it out.

Getting it off the trailer and into its final position

A hammered some rebar into the ground and attached wind break. Than gave it a good covering with mulch.

Now fingers crossed he’ll be ok. A much more exposed area until I get polytunnels and other raised beds in place.

It’s very lucky we didn’t need to dig him out and split him today. I ask the boss man at the local estate ages ago if he had any other old tractor tyres. This morning I messaged to double check it was still ok to have one and if we could collect today. And if it would be possible to relieve him of some of the content of the farm manure heap at the same time.
He’s still not got back to me yet.

I’m very happy to have rhubarb in my veg garden again.

Still a lot to do. But very happy with progress.  After my little blow away of last year. This seems massive.
I’m ridiculously excited about having my little proper polytunnel in my own garden. Not sure I’ll have much self control when my big 2 move.
