Jobs for the coming week - Veggie - 22-05-2020

Post your list of gardening jobs you intend to do next week (last week of May).
Tell us what you intend to do and report back next weekend on what you've actually done - and what you'll be doing the following week.
The week starts on Mondays and ends on Sunday night, with planning for the following week.

You didn't think I'll let you off without some sort of challenge, did you?  Big Grin

That’s worse than the OH. She has a list I can ignore, you make me write a list I can’t possibly achieve then guilt me into doing it. Geez C that’s proper dark arts. ?

No, no, Mikey. The secret of writing a Jobs list is to only list the things you know you will do.
No point saying you'll knit an apple tree if you can't cast on a few stitches. Better to say you'll armpit the tomatoes which is simple and undemanding.

Yeah that’s what she says, it’s an aspirational list, it doesn’t have to be done all at once, but the minute you accept it’s existence the Venus flies trap closes. Ha ha ha. I can’t cackle!! Smile

I have a sheet of invisible paper and a marker pen. I promise not to write on it, I promise not to mess it up and to not hide it. It will remain on show all week and I’ll check it everyday and make sure there’s still nothing on it. Phew, I feel better now, it’ll be hard but, I’ll do me best. Big Grin

Oh by the way I can’t knit an apple tree but my sister does do cacti. Big Grin

RE: Jobs for the coming week - Can the Man - 23-05-2020

I’m working next week, so o ly get the weekend which will be cut the grass, trim the borders and fences, and maybe cut down the brambles in the neighbours field that are coming through my fence.

RE: Jobs for the coming week - SarrissUK - 23-05-2020

In the next week I will:
- try to find the battery for my strimmer
- sow all the beans and peas
- mollycoddle my two trombos that have appeared, along with other squashes
- sow more trombos just in case the others don't show
- deliver 10 compost bags to the allotment and spread them
- write one essay on economics and one economics quiz (deadline tuesday in 10 days time)
- take new hose spray head to the allotment as someone's took my old one
- weed

RE: Jobs for the coming week - Mikey - 23-05-2020

When I had an allotment the hose spray head was my thumb, no one could nick it. Wink

I like other people’s lists, it’s an aide memoire. You are a clever cookie V. Big Grin

I have given up planing, prefer to take a dynamic approach, that way I dont feel disapointed if I dont do what I planned.

Are you a sander then, it requires a more dynamic stance. Big Grin
