Starting Garlic in modules - Broadway - 01-03-2021

Hello Folks

I started my garlic in modules, when it comes to planting out do I bury them?

I'd get them out now Danny and yes bury the clove.

Ok, was modules the wrong way to go?

Bury the clove but leave the shoot exposed?

Yes plant them like that. I just plant garlic straight in the ground in November. Its said they need a cool period to form bulbs and split into cloves correctly.

It's recond that garlic needs a month below 10c for them to make cloves, thats why down south it's recommended to plant in Oct/Nov
If you have any cloves left try keeping them in a fridge for a month and see 8f there is any difference

None left I'm afraid Spec.

Mine were planted 11th Jan so have been through a few frosts albeit not fully underground.

Oh well let's see what happens.
