Leaves aren't like these https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2587/5606/products/Puriri_Lane_Echinops_bannaticus_Star_Frost_1024x1024.jpeg?v=1567759502
Do the leaves smell when you rub them. Reminds me of a marguerite/argyranthemum?

RE: Another ID? - Scarlet - 12-05-2023

I've grown echinops before from seed and the leaves were nothing like these...but wondered if it was the variety?
I haven't grown either of those two either VC. I labeled the pot echinops and non came! Just these two thing. It does look similar to marguerites...but not as feathery.

RE: Another ID? - Farendwoman - 12-05-2023

I reckon argyranthemum too.

RE: Another ID? - Farendwoman - 12-05-2023

Or annual chrysanthemum??

RE: Another ID? - Scarlet - 12-05-2023

It doesn't look like Chrysanthemum seedlings that ive grown before? These are more finely cut?? I haven't grown argyranthemum for years and wouldn't recognise those seedlings. I really am baffled. Fresh compost- zero germination of a whole pack of echinops - these popped up. I will grow on to find out.
