CTM, do you think a washing line will count as a 'container' for entry to the harvest festival Smile?

I forgot! the most momentous picking of the season, and I forgot to shout about it! I picked my first 2 sweetcorn 2 days ago! YAY! My favourite. It'll be sweetcorn every night now for a few weeks, lovely.

Started to lift some onions with a number of small ones amongst them but they will do for the pot just the same, have them out drying and as there is a 5% chance of rain I will cover them with some cardboard to keep them dry overnight

Harvested today some Elfe tatties, a cabbage, calabrese, baby carrots, courgettes and broad beans. All apart from the courgettes are for tomorrows lunch. Smile Also brought home some red and white japanese onions for kitchen use. Sleepy

Just made  curried battered strips with one of the courgettes which was very tasty. Cool

A couple of courgettes, raspberries and the first of the seasons blackberries.

Dug up last of the potatoes from the earlies bed while I could still see where the roots were. 16 roots of kestrel and vitabella yielded about 37lb (17kg), slightly more kestrel. Quite a few of each big enough to bake so will try them some time. Not very much slug damage. I did treat with nematodes on 7th June for first time ever. The main test will be the harmony main crop which were decimated last year. Their tops have died off so need digging up soon. Could have been blight when I wasn't looking as one potato I used for last nights dinner had an area of blight developing.

Also an extra large courgette that is in the garden somewhere and a couple of kilo toms.
